Why Pregnancy Cards are Worth It

The goal of pregnancy cards is simple: to help you accurately organize your pregnancy photos as easily as possible. Did you ever take a weekly bump photo, but now you have no idea which bump photo was taken for which week? We're right there with you.

Back when Baby Notebook co-founder Davia was organizing her pregnancy photos, she had to go back and figure out how far along she was by sifting through all her photos. Her best clue was to try to find the date the photo was taken. That is one thing you do not want to be doing when you're navigating pregnancy and newborn life.

At Baby Notebook, we created Pregnancy Moment Cards. These 26 beautiful pregnancy cards help you document all of your major milestones with ease. Now when you scroll through your photos, you'll know exactly how far along you were in each.

Some of the milestones that Baby Notebook's Pregnancy Moment Cards document are:

  • Positive pregnancy test/baby announcement
  • First time hearing a heartbeat
  • First kick
  • Baby shower
  • Gender reveal
  • Completion of baby's nursery
  • Your due date
  • First picture (ultrasound)
  • Birth announcement
  • Bump pics every two weeks for weeks 12-40

Get all 26 pregnancy cards crafted to celebrate your biggest milestones for free! The deck comes as a printable PDF. You can just print out and use the ones you need.

How to Use Pregnancy Moment Cards

When you sign up for your FREE printable Pregnancy Moment Cards, we don't just wave and say “Good luck!” We send you tips for using them. You'll love what these cards add to the photos for your memory book.

There are so many ways to photograph your journey with pregnancy cards. Bump pics are the most popular way to use them. It's perfect for sharing on social media and documenting for your baby book

We created a flexible deck of pregnancy cards that don't require you to be in every photo. (Let's be honest; sometimes, when you're pregnant you just want to be left alone.) You can put the “We're having a baby card” next to an ultrasound printout for your pregnancy announcement

For a pregnancy announcement or nursery completion, you could also create a flatlay with the corresponding cards. Add some sentimental items that you've purchased or inherited for your baby.

To announce your baby's birth, use the “Hello world” card. You can lay it next to your little bundle of joy for a photo.

Here are a few more tips for getting the most out of your pregnancy cards.

  1. Set reminders.

Use your phone's calendar app. “Siri, remind me every Saturday at noon to take a bump photo.” Or simply customize the time and date you'll receive your weekly Baby Notebook app notifications. You'll be reminded bi-weekly from 20-38 weeks to take a bump pic and add it to your Baby Notebook.

  1. Think about composition.

Not feeling like you want to be in a photo today? Have your partner focus on your bump or the milestone cards. Some of our favorite pregnancy milestone photos are just of the bump.

  1. Get your partner to commit to doing this with you.

Let them know it is important to you and share these tips with them. The hardest part might be getting your partner to take a good photo!⁣ You can always take a peek at our ‘Pregnancy Photo Ideas' Pinterest board, and show your partner exactly what you want your partner to capture in the photo. ⠀
